sore watery prickly eyes

My eyes have been sore for weeks now, they are quite red, watery and feel prickly almost like I need to itch them!
I went to the doctors a couple of weeks ago and he gave me some ointment but they are no better really.
Does anyone get sore eyes as a symptom of anxiety?

I'd think about getting back to see your doctor about this, or see your optician. It's probably nothing serious but eyes are something you shouldn't leave. It could be something enviromental (allergies? something new in your house or at work? changed make up or using any kind of face creams? do a job or hobby that might cause it? etc). Best to rule out anything more serious though like an infection. It's not impossible it's a side effect of anxiety, it affects us all in some strange ways sometimes.
