Cold turkey

Hey all,

I was wondering if anybody has actually gone cold turkey and stuck it out, and if so could they offer any advice?

I've been on 40mg of cit for a couple of months, I don't think its been more than three, and have decided to stop taking them (I did go to the docs to talk about things and he tried to change my meds to sertraline but I felt I just got palmed off again).

He said I shouldn't have major withdrawal symtoms as I was swapping to another SSRI, but I've decided that I don't want to be on any medication any more and I've not taken any meds for about a week now. My mood feels so much better but my head feels weird and kind of dizzy. Does anyone know how long this could last? Or if there's any worse effects to come?

Hi i would advise against cold turkey, you should lower your dose slowly, to avoid whthdrawal symptoms, i know some people have done it, but it is better to reduce your dose, are you sure you want to stop meds altogether. either way take care and good luck xx
