tablets?

Hey, just wondering ive had a killer toothache today.. well the doctor told me to take paracetmols & ibuprofen, but they done nothing.. so he prescribed me some codine to take the pain away until i go to the dentist tomorrow, the pharmacy said that paracetimol, ibuprofen and codine are fine taken together.. ive taken the codine, but now i feel sick :S is this normal???

Codeine makes alot of people feel sick unfortunately. I guess you just have to assess the trade off. Ibuprofen is much more tolerable, as is paracetamol. Oil of cloves or whiskey held on the tooth can numb the pain as an alternative.

Codine gives me a tummy ache, I think it just can be a side effect. Make sure you take food with those medications.

Sometimes if I have ibuprofin with some coffee it helps more. Somethign about the caffeine - not sure why really.

Did you take it with food? Codeine can be a bit harsh on your stomach so always best to take with or after food.

Codeine and ibuprofen both can create nausea!!

If you didn't take it with food last time try that.
