4 weeks on citalopram

New to this but here goes

im on my 4th week of citalopram and i am also tappering of amitripline first few weeks were hell but seem to be managing at the moment but this morning i put the citalopram in my mouth and for some reason my jaw shut down and i crunched it could feel the powder in my mouth so drank a load of water but am worring about it as they are to be swallowed whole although i have been cutting them in half anyway has anyone else done this feel like such a noodle for asking but needed reassurance:blush:

thanks Laura seem to be panicky over everything at the moment probably just the meds

I've done that a couple of times, you might get a terrible taste for a moment but you've done the right thing in washing it down with water. It all goes down the same hatch as they say and would normally just dissolve anyway once it is swallowed :)

well did that this morning and seem too be ok so cant of done anything !!!! :)
just panicked at the time will try not to do that tommorrow.....
