Hi just wanted to know what painkillers can you take with SSRIs - not long term but just the start up effects - been having blinding headaches since coming off Prozac so have been taken Nurofen but know you cannot take them on these. Starting Sertraline at the weekend and expecting some bad headaches - would Syndol help only for a few days as paracetamol on its own does not touch it. Thanks in advance Laura x

ps - would break in half if necessary as know they can make you drowsy.

Hi laura

Pharmacist told me I could take syndol with citalopram - no problem.

You are right, i find only one makes me drowsy but is quite relaxing...

Paracetamol never helped me either.

i used to, if i could make it to then, take one at night so that i felt better the next day.

i would recommend syndol from experience - but speak with gp/pharmacist

Hi - posted this thread yesterday - apparently there is a manufacturing problem with Syndol - have read that Migraleve Pink is safe to take for bad headaches with SSRIs (initial start up effects usage only) does anybody know. The pharmacist said co-codamol but did not mention the latter - anyone help. Thanks again Laura
