Mri scan

[fed up with it]

I had to cancel my MRI scan yesterday, cos of a stomach bug, but i was and am panicking about it has anyone had it done, mine is a head and cervical spine/neck. Is it like laying in a big drum and how close is the top off it.

i had one and it came out ok. i was placed in a very narrow `tube` and was told to close my eyes and lay still. there was alot of noise around me but they also gave me earplugs,etc. i felt nothing and took a long time to be able to stand after not able to move for about 15 minutes. there is nothing to worry about. if you still cant take it with closing your eyes to get into the `tube` they will put you to sleep so dont worry about it.

I've had two of them to scan my head due to migraines. They don't hurt at all but mine took a long time, 30 minutes or so. It is quite loud but the ones I took they can talk to you in the tube and warn you about it. I also had ear plugs. I hope all goes well.

Hiya
me too!! i had that one 42 mins
Was told it was 15 mins but when got there told longer
I was so scared, waited nearly 2 yrs to get to that stage then finally got diagnmosed after clear scan with fibromyalgia
I thought i mioght have this but worried of ms also
I was fine!!! it was closed and like a tunnel with camera on head, was fine when in there i just relaxed
