Temple pain

Well, for awhile now... every once in awhile i'll get a weird pain in my right temple and if i can remember right, i think i get it in my left too.. its just for a second and goes away. Is this normal? I also have braces and 5 wisdom teeth so im not sure if that would have anything to do with it or not... anyone know?

Gosh, 5 wisdom teeth!!!!
I get a pulse feeling in my temple and a kind of pressure feeling. I don't have braces and I only got 2 wisdoms so if you are describing the same thing I have got then maybe it has nothing toi do with the braces and wisdoms.

Maybe a trip to the dentist to put your mind at ease may help.

lol no trust me, i have 5.. the dentist was amazed.. he did tell me that it could very well be the problem of my headaches but im soooo scared to get them taken out.

i noticed that i have a swollen lyphm node or whatever that thing is in my neck, do those mean anytihng bad?

Not usually no. My friends little girl had a horrendous swollen lymph node in her groin, but the doc said they swell up then go down in response to lots of things, usually a germ the body is fighting off. Get it checked out though. Hers went down eventually.

I have 6 wisdom teeth and temple pain that has started only yesterday, but it kinda comes and goes...I am seeing a professor that is researching my subject next week, will see what it is...

It's definitely possible to have extra teeth as I've met one or two people who have them. You must have a spare one of mine as I only ever grew the top ones. :)

As for having them taken out, I had both of mine taken out about 6 years ago and it was nowhere near as bad as I expected. My own dentist did it under a local anaesthetic, and although it's not the most pleasant experience, it's most definitely "survivable" - and I used to be a dental phobic.

It's supernumery. That's the dental term for extra teeth! It doesn't happen that often; however isn't uncommoneither! Usually if the supernumery is behind your wisdom teeth we call them 9's! As your wisdom teeth are your 8's. You can have a supernumery anywhere in the mouth though. Extra canines etc. This may well be causing the pain in your temple. But as your wearing braces ( I'm a trained specialist orthodontic nurse) it will be the wire changes/teeth moving that is causing the discomfort. Take a painkiller, try not to worry; however mention to your orthodontist about the pain. Are you seen in a hospital or practice for treatment? I work in max fax/oral surgery/orthodontics..
