Hi Im a new member and would like to say that since I have found this site I feel a lot better knowing that there are a lot of people like me. I have suffered from eptopics for the last year and some days I feel like I am going to drop down dead. The doctors dont seem at all concerned and are not very sympathetic saying that it is all due to stress and that I have to relax and ignore my heart banging on and off at irregular intervals. Easy for them to say. I start to feel dizzy and faint and cant breath. I have recently started to suffer with my throat. It feels like it is closing up and I start to panic. My poor long suffering husband tries to understand but I hate keep moaning about it to him so most times I suffer alone then feel very depressed and alone. I hate feeling like this as I have everything a girl could want a nice hubby 3 lovely children and a nice house so why am I so stressed and feeling like this. No reason whatsoever but I do. Help.

A big welcome Diane.:D

As you can see your symptoms form the backbone of anxiety - hopefully realising how common these symptoms are will reassure you.

Love Piglet

"Supposing a tree fell down, Pooh, when we were underneath it?" said Piglet.
"Supposing it didn't," said Pooh after careful thought.

Hi Diane,

This is great advice - whenever I get chest, throat and palps. I always seek reassurance from this site. You are right you can feel pretty awful at the time but feel comforted in knowing that they are harmless and will pass.

Take care
Shaz

OMG, I didnt realize so many other people got these, im 26 and have been gettin these for 2 years, Im married with a daughter, my life is brilliant, the only thing causing problems in my life is eptopics. At first I thought i was dying and got depressed due to this but at the ecg I was told they are eptopics. I experience these everyday, when i bend down, ly down, sleep on my left side or bend over, Ive got to the point were I dont care if I die because im ready as every time I get one I think its time and it doesnt matter how many times I get it I never get used to it but doctors think its normal and I should be used to it because I know what it is

Hi

I am the same, I don't know why I stress so much, I have 2 lovely kids and a nice house, OK I am always broke but thats life!
But as I get older I get more worried about health and get stressed easily and have panic attacks and its not nice.
I also went to my docs about my missed heartbeats and palpitations I would get especially at night, they say its all fine but doesn't help me. When I am at my worst I worry I am out of breath and then feel my pulse and its missing beats. It just not a nice feeling and because I have young kids I worry more about being ill.
Is it hormones do you think? I have started taking a Vitamin B complex and Omega 3 fish oils. Will try anything to get rid of this!
Hope you are feeling better and do message me if you want to chat,
hugs xx

not drinking tends to help it and always doing things, I used to like watching movies now and then but now I cant because my body is too relaxed and that is when an eptopic arrives. hopefully they might fade away but im not holding my breath

Hi I am Tony, I have just joined (like 10 mins ago) I put Eptopics in Google and found this site. I am really glad I did, I have been suffering with these for about 2 years on and off and I am still here, allthough when I have them, like you some times I think THIS IS IT, but as I said I am still here.
When I am OK, (like now) I understand it, but when I am in it It is SO REAL.
I know onl;y too well hoe horrible and scary it can be, I am sometimes, awfull and I feel so sorry for my wonderfull partner, who is so supportive. There must be a cure, the first to find it, plese tell the rest of us.
