As some of you know, I'm getting married in just over 2 weeks, which would be nerve racking enough but I have wedding nerves added on to my usual social panic and agoraphobia.

Can any of you recomend any good anxiety relief that is natural?

I have Rock Rose rescue remedy, which I take 4 drops of on my tongue, is that better than taking it in water?
And how often can you take it? it says 4 drops as and when, but is there a period of time that you have to wait before taking it again?

Thank you

Hi I use lavender oil on my cuffs/hanky/wrists (diluted) this really helps to me relax.

Not sure if thats just me, but worth a try.

Good luck and congratulations btw.

Ooh i'll try that, thank you. any idea why it works good on your top lips?

Also, where do you buy lavender? and is it those roll ons or just from a little bottle?

I used to get lavender roll on but cant find them anywhere now.

A lot of chemists sell Lavender Oil in small bottles, test on the lip first case you react, lol.

A few drops on the pillow helps me sleep, could be a good call with the stresses of wedding approaching, but deff works on the cuffs, if you start to feel anxious.

yes it just works because your naturally smelling it and strong , I get from holland and barrett , and like said a couple of drops on your pillow works , some in your bath helps.

strange thing is I dont particulary like the smell , its not bad not good , but if it helps well whats the harm

I've been reading about Lavender just to see how best to use it, wish I hadn't, it came up with warnings about not to use it if you think you might be diabetic, or have epilepsy. Not sure why, I thought it was completely safe:shrug:

Everything has warnings, just be sensible with it. I know what you mean as soon as you see warnings you immediately think it relates to you.

Are you diabetic/epileptic?

Personally have never heard of these warnings before, but im not a hebal specialists, so all I can say is its up to you, or get further advice.

However I have had huge benfits from it.

Good Luck Hun.

any oils absorbed in the skin can interfere with epilepsy drugs, as epilepsy is hard to control with drugs they are best avoided if you have epilepsy.
also certain smells can trigger a siezure in many people, that's why the warnings are there, for information only x

Not sure about the diabetes connection but i know a bit about the epilepsy - its any oils not just lavender, epilepsy is very difficult to treat long term as seizures are almost unique to the person who has them, and the slightest change can trigger seizures, this includes any oils that the skin absorbs as it can alter the chemicals in the medication which can make them become ineffective.
