Mouth Pain

Hi. For the last couple of weeks, I've had a cold and cough which has now gone, however for the past few dats I've had a pain in my mouth. It started off at the back of my tounge and when I swallowed it was hurting my throat and my right ear. Now that has gone, however the roof of my mouth hurts at one side again when I swallow. Has anyone ever had this? I'm going out over the weekend and will be drinking and I'm quite scared to just incase it will do something x

Have you had a look in the mirror to see if there's anything there, like a sore spot or ulcer? Have you hurt it eating hard or crunchy food?
