My GP asked my to have an ECG after he listened to my heart and said it was beating faster than it should be, the ECG showed my heart was healthy but indeed the pulse was faster than it should be... they have listed down tachycardia on my notes, I will know more when I see my doctor next.

Has anyone else had this experience? if so what happens to treat this?

same thing happened to me, in fact I went to dr to get my pulse checked out because I could feel it was too fast and yes dr agreed and gave me inderal which is a beta blocker to slow the heart rate. there was no problem with my blood pressure (it was low if anything), and I'm not overweight or anything so basically the increase in heart rate is just caused by anxiety. so don't be too worried. did they ask you to go back to get checked again soon?

I see the doctor again at the end of this month, though I cant have a betablocker because I am asthmatic.... :(
