Fasting blood test

I spoke with my gp and she booked me in for a fasting blood test. I forgot to ask er what they can tell from it, I want to know if I'm diabetic, anemic an test the the platelets will this all show in the blood test if somethigs up or will it just be a sugar test? I'd rather it all done at once as I hate needles :(

It really depends what the docs ask for to be honest so we have no way of knowing

I think they can pretty much test for anything. One main reason to fast is when they are checking cholesterol as they don't want recent foods to spike the results.
