Piles?

For a few weeks now I have had a really itchy bumhole, sorry tmi! Last week when I wiped there was a bit of bright red blood on the tissue. For the most time it doesn't bother me until after I have had a bowel motion which is when it itches more. Anyway there is no pain, but as it has stuck around for a few weeks now I am starting to worry it may be something more sinister. At the moment it just feels itchy and sore. Anyone got any advice please?x

Hi there,

Sounds very much like piles. Try not to worry. Eating lots of fibre should keep your BM's softer so it allows them to heal.

You can buy creams etc at chemist if its causing you problems or just pop to the Dr and they will prescribe for you.

Anyway, this is very common so hopefully will clear up v soon.

Hi there,

Sounds like piles to me too. Try some cream from the chemist for a while (or, if you get a touch embarrassed about these things like me, the supermarket self-scans are a god-send) and, if that doesn't help, a quick visit to the GP will confirm.
