Almost every day now i keep getting panic attacks in class. I keep going to my head of year and sitting in my office to calm myself down. But iv'e booked an appointment with a Councillor but the closer the day comes, the worse i get.. Everyones making fun of me :[ My grandfather had panic attacks and my dad has panic attacks..

Does anyone have any tips for staying calm? Like squeezing your fist or w/e?

Thanks

Hi Wepoi...it's so hard isn't it, coping with PA's. It must be awful that people are making fun of you, you will already feel self conscious if this keeps happening. They are being ignorant so just try and ignore their childish behaviour. You have your appointment with the councillor coming up and that's a great start. I hope you have also discussed this with your GP. The best thing you can do meantime is try to control your breathing and tell yourself nothing bad is going to happen to you. I wish you lots of luck and hope you get the help you need. Kitti :)
