Hi, I havent been here for quite a while so here goes,

I know that i always ask questions related to hyperventilation, but could you please just answer this question,

Is this possible with ANXIETY: Feeling out of breath every day, every minute, and always conscious about breathing, and always taking deep breaths,

Also my lungs are hurting.

Please tell me if these are possible with Anxiety because i havent seen anyone with the same conditions as me (all day every day), most people just have it on and off and this scares me.

I just ordered Hyperventilation Syndrome from Weekes.

Cheers,

-Jono

I'm no expert here, but I would imagine that with ALL the physical symptoms that we all experience in one way or another, these go on for as long as you are thinking about it.

Maybe because you are conscious of your breathing, you are then not breathing as naturally or as fully as you would, which is then causing you to feel out of breath and to gulp deep breaths, which is then causing you to be conscious of your breathing, and you are stuck in a vicious circle.

As I say, I'm no expert but I know with my own symptoms that I can be "shocked" out of it temporarily; which makes me think that the symptoms are only there because I think about them, and I can't NOT think about them because they are there.

Have you had a doctor listen to your chest? Might reassure you that all is ok.

Sorry I can't help more - I just felt for you, waiting for replys.

Take care,
Caroline

Hi,

I've noticed my breathing a lot more lately, i'm been having a bad time of it lately, and i seem to be breathless all the time, and am constantly aware of my breathing pattern. I've never really noticed it until recently. It is scary, but i've noticed that if i go off and do something i don't notice it, it's only when i think about it, that i become breathless and start panicking.

Just to put your mind at rest, why not go back to the docs and let him listen to your chest.

Take care.

I get the hyperventilation, I don't get it 24/7 but when it comes on it can last up to a week.

Hope you start to feel better soon:D

Take care
