I've started taking Relora, Vitamin B complex (50) and Magnesium with B6. I was previously taking St Johns Wort and I have about 2 days supply left, which I thought I'd finish. Does anyone know if it's safe to take SJW with the other supplements (it's really the Relora I'd query, I'm sure vitamin B and magnesium is ok)?

All I know is it is not recommened to take St Johns Wort with SSRIs they interact with oneanother. Sorry don't know about the other stuff.
I'm sure someone else on the forum would be able to help you.
I haven't heard of Relora, thet is new one on me.

There is information about natural remedies here:

Natural Remedies (http://www.nomorepanic.co.uk/NMPcms.php?nmppage=remedies)

Also these posts might help:

SJW.5HTP:

How many of you are taking St Johns Wort? (http://www.nomorepanic.co.uk/showthread.php?t=5462)

Also you could try the SJW Info site:

Hope that helps.

Thanks for your replies. I decided to stop the SJW and replace with Relora, to try and see if any improvement to how I feel. I had a good few days, but then horrendous PMT which didn't help matters! Now I'm back as I was - stressing and worrying about health issues as usual, but I do feel I'm a bit calmer about other day-to-day stresses.

BTW, I found Relora when searching for Kava Kava, and this is marketed as a safe alternative. You take 3 a day, and supposed to start calming you 45 mins after taking.

I'm so "up and down" I really need to give this one a good month or so before commenting on how well it works, but I'll keep you posted!

I came across a list (http://www.seacoastvitamins.com/health_library.php?article=3094009) of drugs that can interact with St. John's Wort (http://www.seacoastvitamins.com/topic.php?health=st.+john%27s+wort). Relora is not listed, but you might want to check with a doctor to be safe. It would be nice if you didn't have to stop taking the St. John's Wort...I think it helps a lot, both with sleep and with mood.
