Hi

I have bad anxiety and weird thoughts - do you think sugar can make this worse? I eat lots of sweets, ice cream etc?

The only way it can make you worse is that the difference in energy levels (because sugar is a fast acting carbohydrate source which gives you quick energy but also a sugar crash where you feel lethargic).

when you are sensitized (anxious) you might notice those little (insignificant) different changes in how you feel and then you attach those "oh no!" and "what if" responses to those feelings.

in short... sugar will NOT directly make you anxious unless you let it.
