I've had my preliminary assessment and i've been placed on a list. Normally, how long would i have to wait? Anyone know?

Different areas of country vary... some its 7-9 months... surely your gp should tell you how long?

I had CBT 6 yrs ago on NHS for panic attacks and waited 1 year!!! I have recently started a new course this time for anx/panic/agoraphobia and only had to wait about 9 weeks....I think it's pot luck really and depends on where you are and how much funding is allocated to these types of therapies in your area. Good luck...hope you don't have to wait too long :)

If you haven't heard anything in a month definitely go back to the docs and ask. I think I had to wait no more than two months for my CBT to go through, and to be honest it's the best thing I ever could have done. My sessions are price less and am learning so much.

Good luck and let us know when you start!!!
