silly question but I've literally just changed from sertraline 100mg to ven 75mg, as the sertraline was not working/making me worst

will i still get withdrawal symptoms from the sertraline even though it was not necessarily working??

you might notice a slight withdrawal but as you are replacing the sertraline with another AD they should be mild xx

Only day 2 today so rather early days yet.

sertraline was rubbish for me made me feel awful.

I'm hoping these will do teh trick seeing as they work on two chemicals in the brain.

How long have you been on them? How are you finding them?
x

Ive been on them nearly 6 wks but only started on 37.5mg and had to cross taper over from mirtazapine so its still early days, i was increased to 150mg a day but that was too high for me and started having adverse effects so had to cut back down, its just trial and error getting the dosage right x x

you've problaby lost weight too because the mirt is very common to cause weight isn't it!?? Coming off of that may have contributed - did you put on a lot of weight on the mert? x

Nope i didnt put any on with the mirtazapine either, since ive been ill with this anxiety ive lost 1 and half stone and was only 9 and half stone to start with! None of my clothes fit me they just hang off me but some days i literally have zero appetite at all  ive been on cit in the past and never put weight on with them either and i was n them 2 years, my sis takes sertraline and shes gained alot of weight on them but she was on them for an eating disorder and severe depression and altho theyve been a life saver for her depression wise her weight has crept up and is becoming an issue for her x x

Well your appetite may come back after a few weeks and hopefull your weight might steady.

The weight loss is just as stressful, if not more than the weight gain isn’t it.
Its crazy how meds can affect people in different ways. Like putting on 2 stone in 6 months to me is ludicrous. I wouldn’t let it get to that stage I don’t think. I’m single and suffer low self esteem so weight gain for me would make me 10 times more depressed.
