Sudden hot sensation in throat and chest

I’ve had IBS/GERD for at least 15 years and am familiar with heartburn. However in the last few days I’ve had a sudden hot sensation on the left side of the sternum and the left side of the throat, not at the same time. It doesn’t seem related to eating or reflux. It feels as though hot air is being blown onto the internal tissues in those areas – it’s not like any heartburn I’ve previously had. I’ve also had an increase in post-nasal drip and a change in IBS symptoms, though none of the ‘red-flag’ symptoms.

I’ll see the doc next week but I wonder if anyone on the forum has experienced this hot sensation?

Ive had a hot burning feeling going in my throat before but I never really questioned it aye. Im like you and get heart burn, indigestion and a bit of reflux as well as IBS.

I dont know if its anything really to do with reflux though. But let me know what the doctor says.
