i am stressed out to the max and i have had no appetite for almost 3 weeks now and have lost over half a stone. Im convinced i have stomach cancer. I had bloods done last month 15th March 2012 and my results are..

Serum Globulin 26Gl
Serum Total Protein 78gl
Serum Gamma GT 41
Serum Total Bilirubin Level 12
AST Serum Level 24
ALT/SGPT serum level 42
Serum Alkaline Phosphatase 71
Serum Albumin 51

Red blood cell distribution width 13.1%
Haematocrit 0.44
Lymphocyte count 1.7
Total white cell count 5.8
Red blood cell count 5.39
Platelet Count 232
Neutrophil Count 3.5
Monocyte Count 0.4
Mean Corpuscular Volume 81.6
Mean corpusc.HB.conc 33.6
Mean Corpusc. haemoglobin 27.5
Haemoglobin estimation 14.8
Eosinophil count 0.1

Can anybody tell me if these are normal because i am sick with worry i have cancer because of the weight loss and intermittent dull ache in my upper right quadrant. Doctor keeps telling me its anxiety but i cant accept it. i had an abdominal ultrasound in september and my last in november both were fine thankfully but im starting to think something has grown since then.

Thanks

Mike I can only assume that your GP is happy with your bloods.

It is so dangerous asking questions like this on a public forum, tbh you need to refer to your health care professional.

Looking at it from the outside, if you have not been eating you will have bound to have lost weight.

I know that when my depression and anxiety were at their worst I lost over 2 stone, (wish it were still off).

Have you read the info on Health Anxiety on the left hand side of the forum? It is full of useful info and can explain a lot of your fears.

If you are not re-assured then I am afraid that the only thing is to go back to your GP.

You say that they have told you that it is anxiety, have they offered you any help to overcome this?

Good luck
