Been prescribed a pessary to take tonight if I can. Don't think I can though, I'm too scared to insert it - everything clamps up and gets sore, plus Boots website says it interacts with escitalopram if taken orally, does the same advice go for canesten used as a pessary? Bit worried..

I don't know if it interacts with your medication but they are very easy to insert with the applicator & painless. Try & relax otherwise you will tense up & it will be very difficult :)

I've never really liked the idea of using the pessary :( My GP prescribed it for me, but Boots were more than happy to let me have the cream and pay the difference. I've never used the pessary.. Some people just don't get on with them or like them. I don't use tampons either. If you're still worried, why not pop back to the Pharmacy and ask for the cream instead? :)
