Hi I'm flighing to Cuba in a few weeks and am worried about my blood pressure. For the last 5 years when i've been to the drs my bp has been a little high, but is usually fine at home. I have done the stupid thing and googled High BP and flighing and frightened myself to death. I'm not on tablets, because the drs haven't put me on them. I've got flight socks, but am still convinced that i will have a heart attack, stroke or DVT. I'm 34, dont smoke and rarely drink. Please help, i should be really excited but am dreading the flight.:weep:

Nope. Nothing to worry about. Pop the flight socks on and keep moving your feet. I once had such swollen legs that my friends hand to carry me off the plane but that was down to me not moving. My high BP has made no difference to my flying.

You'll be fine.

Thanks for your reply. I guess that fact that i haven't been put on medication should reassure me.
