sertraline advice needed please.

ive been on sertraline 50mg for 8 days today.last week i was great, though had morning anxiety it didnt last for long,.
yesterday and today ive been a tad nervy, edgey, anxious. Is this because i may need a higher dose? or side effects?
i imagine , if i was going to get side effects from them, i wouldve had then within the first few days?? i do tremble though on these.

Hi miniminx,

I've been on Sertraline for 9 weeks, 3weeks on 50mg, 6 weeks on 100mg. I was like you at first but that's normal to feel a little worse before it gets better, 50mg is usually given as a maintenance dose, just to get it into your system. The only side effect I still have is Diarrhea. These are a slow one to act too so try to be patient and ride it out. we are all different so these meds will act differently, some get more side effects than others.

I was thinking as id been fine last week, that i was going to be fine on 50mg.
