So day one starting propranolol and citro.... 10mg. Felt amazing after months of hell!

But day two had a dizzy spell, flushes n heart rate went up.

But I've just noticed I'm numb all over. I can pinch my self as hard as I can and I can't feel it? But yet I can still feel the touch. If that makes any sense.

But also how low n less hard can ya heart go down to. My anxiety issue is with my heart constantly checking it ect and now it's calm n sometimes I can't feel it so now I'm worried about that! I just can't win.

Any help please!!!

Hi. Haven't really got anything constructive to say but I can see your highly anxious and hsd no reply.

My anxiety Is also with my heart, I'm on citalopram 20mg, I feel I can't win either, too fast or too slow lol..
With my cbt I decided to do a bit research into normal heart rates, what can affect your heart rate etce, you'd b suprised what you can learn, and rest assured your heart is fine.

You can catch me on pm if u want to talk :)

Take care

Thanks for your response.

I seriously think I'm dying, these day two I feel like I'm slowing down to a hult. I've know I've been having panick attacks but cause the propranolol takes the anxiety away I get new anxiety sensations that I worry about.

I don't feel on this planet today, but I think it's partly my fault. I don't keep busy just sit there motionless cause I'm to scared to move. When I should just keep moving n busy. Stop thinking about it. Cause when i do there my good days.

But day two I've got numb skin can't feel a pinch and think my tongue is swollen. Will this go? Should I stop taking them.

What's the link to what you read about your heart. So scared taking these beeta blockers in case it slows my heart down to a stop!

Hi, I wouldn't stop taking your meds no, its early days n you will pick up I promise, like u say your sitting there motionless constantly thinking about things, all your doing is fueling the anxiety n making yourself worse, keep active hun.

Beta blockers or any other Med for that matter could not make your heart stop.

A slow rate isn't a bad thing, most athletes have a resting rate of around 40, the slower it goes the better the job it's doing at pumping the blood / oxygen around your body.

What is your resting rate now? I found a lit if things can affect it, caffeine, lack of sleep, poor sleep quality, emotions. Anxiety, smoking, alcohol.
