Hi, just checking if anyone has been given buspa ? I think it works quicker to help with anxiety issues, my doc gave me a 10 day supply, 30 x 5mg,( 3 times a day). It has on the label to take when anxious, which has been pretty much all of the time.

Although not as anxious as I first was, I don't want to stop taking regular incase it reverses.

I've been upped to 40mg citalopram from 20mg at the same time, yet I think it will be too early (6 days) to notice any effect from this.

Did you mean Buspar? I don't think it works immediately like benzos but probably quicker than SSRIs.

Yes, I think you will have to give increase longer than 6 days - more like a couple of weeks or so.

Sorry to put a downer but for the majority buspar does nothing.... Bet I hope it helps you.

The cit helps a lot of people. So good luck.

Yep, I heard it was 50/50, the doc only gave me enough for 10 days, sure he said it would help short term (if it works with me)

That is optimistic lol... Buspar isn't even in the anxiety guidelines anymore but it is indeed worth a shot anyhow.
