Hiya

Well, I had a panic attack last night. It wasn't anything big, lasted about 15 minutes. I managed to get myself out of it but watching Big Brother, eating gummy bears and drinking water then chilling to my music.

I woke up this morning and I had lost my voice. I was drinking water (but I was hyperventilating alot) so I'm not sure why I have lost it.

Does anyone loose their voice after having a panic attack, especially when you are hyperventilating?

Hi Jadey, could be that you stil have a lot of tension left over in the muscles in your throat. My voice is funny at the moment but that's due to meds causing a dry throat, but it is easing off. People can lose their voice through stress/anxiety, due to tension in the throat muscles, relax and try drinking planty, also steaming helps.

Take care
