I take a 100 b complex and a mult vitamin.

Do you think this is too many b vitamins? I am worried about the Niacin dangers. Please help.

A woman my age should have 14 mg a day of Niacin and I am taking 70 mg.

Hi Kelly

I am no expert on this I am afraid. I do know that I can't take Niacin as it may interact with my blood pressure medication so I have to avoid any supplements with it in.

Hi Kelly
Its really hard to take too much B vitamins because they are water soluble and so any excess comes out in your urine. 70mg is a safe amount to take.

I have also taken a multi along with an addition b complex, and never had any problems. I agree that the b helps a lot with energy. There's some research provided with the b complex (http://www.seacoastvitamins.com/health_library.php?article=2922005) supplements at Seacoast Vitamins that you might want to check out. It has some good info that might help.

You might also want to see how many b vitamins are already in your multi, and make sure the multi is a good one. If it's not, all of those vitamins will just pass right through you. I like the Nature's Way Alive! (http://www.seacoastvitamins.com/topic.php?health=alive) a lot, because it absorbs into the body within 20 minutes, so you know you're getting everything.

I use Berocca which is a multi C, B6 &B12 vitamin with some other minerals including Zinc, calcium. I find it good. It is water soluable too and so makes a nice drink.
