Hi again,

I have been off for a while taking some time to get used to the meds and seeing a counsellor and think i am starting to turn a corner! A bunch of things has come
up in our sessions partly thanks to the counsellor but mostly just from
recognising things in my self after having actually talked about it.

Not everything that has come up has been pleasant and some things are taking
time to really accept but i definitely feel like its starting to unwind all the
tangles.

My partner bought me a kindle as a present and she pre-loaded it with a
couple of the books from my college reading list and the first one im reading is
called 'On Becoming a Person' by Carl R. Rogers (founder of humanistic-person
centred therapy) and it is really helping a LOT it uses dialogue from real
therapy sessions to demonstrate the therapeutic process and i could see
shared experiences and thoughts/feelings that i have been experiencing and
some of the dialogue is 60 years old at least!

I really recommend that people give it a look, to get over this thing we first need to discover what it really is and how it works, I'm starting to realise that my anxiety is a manifestation of some other conflicts within me and it feels like im moving closer and closer to the root of it.

All the best,

flossie

Hi Connor

Good mate nice hearing success stories as well on the site. I hope that I can stop the racing mind to pick up a book again. I will look on Amazon for that book...Thanks for the suggestions...
