my doctor admitted he made me depressed

I have been taking diazepam for several years. My doctor said it was time I came off them. After a year of pure hell, I got major depression. I was put back on diazepam and now effexor xr.
I now have 2 medications that are hard to come off.
My doctor admitted it was his fault I got depression.
I'm not the type to sue but I wish he'd just left me alone.
I'm finding it hard to cope.
any advice please?

could you change dr's that would be the best thing to do, and find one that can support you fully whilst you mutally agree a withdrawal program. I know someone that was on Diazepam for 30 years and with her dr's support has managed to come off them, it wont be easy but with the right support, you can do it.
