Hi Everyone :-)

Im Vicki, 19 and from Newcastle. I have a phobia of thunderstorms and since its the season, i thought i'd join and see if i could get advice/help and make friends with people who have the same kind of problem or who have overcome it. :-)
This rules my life and has done for as long as i can remember so i should have plenty to talk about and maybe even offer some advice for other problems i have overcome :-)

Hi vicky,
I also hate thunderstorms and have done since i was a child. It struck a house opposite to where i was living. Last weekend when we had the storms i kept going in the cubby hole under the stairs. I dont let it rule me, but i do watch the weather forcast so i know when theyre coming. I wouldnt dream of walking out when there was one.
Anyway i hope it helps to know your not on your own. There are many people who dislike storms.

It is great to no i'm not the only one and there are people i can talk to about it via forum etc .

I'm supposed to be going to my friends tonight, :-) I can't relax until i have checked the weather forecast dozens of times. So i best get cracking ... thank god for news and weather channels lol

I was scared of thunderstorms well into my teenage years - how pathetic is that!

When I was woken up by one the other morning, I was done in for the day!
