Bitting tongue advice

Hi guys for about 3 month now , I seem to be always feeling like I'm bitting my tongue, it's very saw.
It almost feels like its two big for my mouth and there is nowhere for it to sit without my Clamping down on it all day leaving it very saw. Any advice on this please

Not sure about during the day, but I bang my jaw and grind my teeth at night, so bite tongue/cheek all the time.
Dentist has made me a silicone mouth guard that fits over my bottom teeth.

I bite my lip all the time, not sure if its some kind of self harm :blush:

If your biting it all the time it will feel bigger, they swell quite easily. Go and see the doc x

I think it's a mild form of self-harm as I'm always biting the inside of my mouth and if a particular place gets sore, I'll concentrate on that part - almost as if the pain is a distraction...
