Further to a previous post (http://www.nomorepanic.co.uk/showthread.php?t=113114) about my colleague who is driving me round the bend with his constant sniffing and coughing, I have discovered there is a name for having a sensitivity to certain sounds : (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Misophonia)misophonia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Misophonia).
That's the good news. The bad news is according to the main misophonia website (http://www.misophonia-uk.org/ ) is that there is not a reliable cure.
Not sure what to do now. I've been trying an hypnosis mp3 for the last week, but don't know how long that will take to work. Therapy never worked for any of my other problems. I'm too stressed out anyway, without this noise problem, to do things like make new friends etc.
