As I have a very low cholesterol and low progesterone levels,
I found this interesting ( cholesterol makes progesterone).

Hi Mirry, just read it, very very interesting, I have recently had my cholesterol taken and it was fine, not to low and not to high. I don't make progesterone as I have no womb due to a hysterectomy, but I am lacking oestrogen which has brought my anxiety on. But thanks as I will make sure that I don't let my cholesterol go to low as it might make me worse.

Best wishes,

You make it from your adrenal glands apparently but not as much as the overys, i hope you find the right balance to help you feel better.

Hi Mirry, once your ovaries are removed your adrenal glands no longer produce oestrogen, it's like a life line cut. I solely rely on HRT, when you go through natural menopause then your adrenal glands carry on producing a little but not alot. Eventually none at all=End of menopause. Anyway thats your biology lesson for today, ha ha.

Thanks,

Hi Polly, I read that the menopause makes the oestrogen drop by 40% and the progesterone 90%
This is what causes the horrbile unbalanced symptoms.

Maybe your doctor could balance your hormones rather than just giving you oestrogen ? If you have a good doctor who understands hormones.
