Hi,
I've been having sessions for 5 months now for phobia and panic and getting nowhere. I've had a big setback which I'm only now starting to get out of. My therapist didn't mention setbacks and wants to push me further than I feel I can go. If I try too much too soon I have a big panic and I'm a mess for weeks. It's costing me an arm and a leg and while I can't afford to throw money away I'll keep it up if I think it will go somewhere. However, I was wondering can you get as good an outcome (or better?) with books and/or online?

For me, the online CBT4PANIC course helped loads (see link in signature below)

It is written by CBT therapist named Robin, who can also give you guidance via email if you need it. He knows his onions and I love how clear and easy his approach is.

There's a 30 day free trial so you've absolutely nothing to lose. You will definitely take something from it :)

Thanks Potato11,
I signed up for it this evening. I haven't looked at it yet but I'm heartened by the reviews.
