Results?.......anxiety waiting game :(

I am still awaiting the results of a X-ray I had two weeks tomorrow!

It was a barium swallow to check my Esophogus and stomach!

So far all that has happened is I'm been passed from pillar to post with no answers.....

The specialist said call doc,docs not got result that was last Thursday!

Call back gp today still no result,specialist says " yer I can see them on my screen but can't tell u the results,I will fax to your gp and call them I'm a hour"

1 hour later call the gp and receptionist says "yer I see your results but can't tell you,wait for gp to look at them today and call tomorrow"

Meanwhile I'm a nervous wreck thinking if there was nothing wrong the specialist or reception could have just said that!

Why don't they make it easy,horrible night instore for me now :(

Hi, was it the actual specialist you spoke to or his secretary? Its a standard thing that admin staff can't give such results over the phone, it has to be someone who is medically trained, even if the result is clear.

Hi mike try not to worry, they can't give results even if there clear, it's stupid isn't it but it's there policy, they could have tried harder to find a gp to give u the results though
