View Full Version : Hello from Surrey
Hi, my name is Clare and I have suffered with Panic Attacks on and off since 1987. My 'episodes' seem to last solidly for a couple of years, then I get lesser symptoms for a few years then the cycle starts all over again. I am not on any medication at the moment although I do carry Oxazepam with me wherever I go, just in case!!
Today is a just incase day, and I have taken 5mg so hopefully I'll 'calm down' in a bit.
I've read some posts and just wanted to say that I am grateful that a site like this is available as like a lot of you, I sometimes feel I'm almost an 'outcast'.
Take care
Clare

Hi clare
I'm a fellow new recruit to the site and your story sounds exactly like mine and here i was thinking i was the only one with this story!!! Nice to know you are not alone and that you can chat to likeminded people who understand and do not judge you for not being what society classes as 'normal'.
Love and hugs
Nicola

You're not an outcast... You're just part of a more enlightened group of people, who probably find ourselves in bother because we look at life more deeply than we were prepared for :)
I'm sure you'll find this place a great "grounding rod"...
