I am fairly new to this website found it about 2 weeks ago. I have had health anxiety for about a year but the panic attacks only started about 4 months ago. I think this is due to me stopping work as i am home alone all day because my husband works most of the day. I have a lot more time to think and worry now so feel grotty most days. I mainly get a heavy headed feeling and altered vision at night time with this playing on my mind i dont sleep well. So i usually search the web with my symptoms and end up upsetting myself even more. I am obessed at the moment thinking i have a brain tumour i went to doc's and he said i had very high blood pressure so put me on tabs for it and told me to have a low salt diet. But he said nothing about the panic attacks or my other symptoms so left me still worrying.

Hi Melissa and welcome. I have health anxiety too, googling symptoms is the worst thing you can do! Try not to worry, the doc has sorted out one problem, if you are still concerned go back and mention the panic and your worries. I'm sure he will be able to reassure you and maybe give some advice on how to deal with them. Also there's lots of great advice and help/support here. have you read through the info on health worries etc. It is really useful. Anyway - welcome and i hope you feel better soon
