Really scared of norovirus (possible spike)

Ok well as a lot of people probably know I get really scared of being ill, yesterday I went to see my friend in hospital which was really had for me, but after i left i found out someone else on that ward had been vomiting! this scared me so much cause i'm terrified of catching something like norovirus.

My friend is on a surgical ward and was saying if this woman had anything like that she would have been put in a contamination unit or kept away from the surgery ward at least, but how true is this!

It's very true . If you have anything contagious, they put you in isolation.
You're not allowed to even leave the room.
When my friend had a virus she spent at least a week in an awful small room :(

Also, given that your friend is in a surgical ward it is quite likely that several people in there may be recovering from the effects of anaesthetic which commonly makes people vomit.
