In my latest bouts I get a sort of surge feeling behind the forehead and nose and at the base of the neck.

Unpleasant.

Here I go again...ready? Check it ain't side effects of meds Nick! if you're on any read the leaflet and see if any of the side effects ring any bells. I get funny feelings in my head too but not sure it's anxiety. had it todya and haven't felt anxious at all today.

Ive definitley had the nose and head surge - never noticed the neck thing though - maybe I had it maybe I didnt.

I never linked this to anxiety but could be it is. I always thought it maybe a sinus thing. Do you get hayfever or are you getting a cold?

Polly - I have read quite a few posts on this site and always remember someone writing that you dont have to feel anxious to have feelings of anxiety. They can come on without warning and mimic a loads of different illnesses (just to add a bit more stress into your life!). They linger in the background if you are prone and raise their ugly head whenever they feel like it. Good thing is you didnt let it scare you - therefore you won!
