Ok following my latest neurology appointment this is the letter I just received:

"I reviewed the above patient in the neurology clinic. His blood tests revealed negative ACE, normal serum electrophoresis, negative ENA but Positive ANA 1:160 Nucleolar pattern. He reports paraesthesiae and ongoing visual disturbances in the right eye present since October 2011. His EMG studies we normal but obviously his symptoms could be consistent with demyelination. I would recommend an MRI brain scan and visual evoked potentials."

Obviously I'm now worrying !!!!!!!! Any thoughts - my arm ache and stuff fingers are still ongoing today!!!! :(

Hi Chris9642

Im sure it will be ok, but any doubts ring your GP. Im 100% sure if it was something to be concerned about it would have been through your GP rather than a letter.

Never mind about your arm ache and your fingers, you are just focusing on those.

If in doubt phone your GP and get them to explain.
