Chest pain......

So here i am again thinking the worst and cant stop which makes it worse. I was just sitting down talking to a friend when out of the blue i had a stabbing pain in centre of chest so now im worried in case it heart related . It still there and ive had minor panic attack already and im scared and trying so hard not to rush out to a@e right now. Help please.

Most chest pain is harmless. If it is a sharp pain it could be muscular or indigestion.

Only you can decide whether it needs looking at or not though.

It's very likely trapped wind, stabbing pain is exactly what it feels like and it can happen anywhere in the chest, can you raise your arms up in the air above your head? that's what i was told to do when i thought i was having a heart issue, and what a doctor told an elderly lady i know to do as she has angina attacks but she also gets trapped wind and sometimes doesnt know which she's experiencing - apparently if you can do that it's a good indication it's not your heart xxx
