Sudden deafness/ringing

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I had a really nasty inner ear infection that made me so dizzy and poorly for about 6 months. During that time several times a day I would go deaf and my ears would ring for about 30 seconds and then hearing would return. I thought I had recovered pretty much.

But today and yesterday I had the same ringing thing occur, and it has scared me something rotten. I also suffer quite badly with health anxiety and I was just wondering if anxiety can cause this kind of monetary deafness/tinnitus too?
