my worst fears are coming to life and they arnt happening to me but my husband and my anxiety is out of control plus im 23 weeks pregnant so this is not what i need any advice would be appriciated heres the story
a year ago my husband had laser removal on a tattoo on his arm the guy did it to high and went over it twice which u aint meant to do , it blisterd so bad it caused a keyloid scar which if you google image it is raised ugly and painful , ahe went to a doctor about 6 months after it to show him it and asked to see a specialist well the appointment was today after a rediculous 6 month wait , they have put him on steroids but have told him he needs to go in on friday for a biopsy now any one with health anxiety will know what this word will set off , they gave no reason as to y but to rule things out im scared they mean cancer hes only 21 we have 2 kids and one on the way , y would they need him in so soon

That sounds horrible and stressful. Remember though, a biopsy is just a procedure to see what's inside, it doesn't mean they are looking for cancer, it probably just means they want to look at the composition of the scar in order to look at the best treatment options - perhaps if it's a bad one they might be thinking about operating on it?
I know it's hard but try to keep calm as you're pregnant, you need to look after yourself. I hope you get good results back soon. x

The fact that you had to wait 6 months suggest that your doctor really doesn't think it is a tumour - I would think he would have got a much quicker appointment if he thought it was anything serious.

There are several different treatments to remove keltoid scarring, like steroids or surgery for example, so I would think the consultant referral is to ensure that an expert can see it and decide what would be best. I did a quick google and could only find answers that suggest that keltoids don't turn into tumurs.
