View Full Version : Why do physical symptoms disappear after sleep?

For two months I have been experiencing disturbing physical symptoms in the left side of my body which are probably due to acute stress: buzzing, slight pins and needles, occasional stabbing pain and muscle twitches, mostly in the leg, sometimes in the arm and consistently in the eyelid.

I also find that I get frustrated, impatient and angry very quickly and feel that adrenaline rush very intensely whenever I face a challenging situation.

I have no difficulty sleeping and when I wake up in the morning the symptoms have all but disappeared and remain absent if I lie in bed for an hour or so but the moment I get up and walk around they begin again.

Any ideas?

I don't know the answer to your question but my experience is the same with twitching. With me I think its relaxation. If I don't sleep well I can wake up with twitches, I don't from a good sleep though.

It doesn't work with stomach issues - for me. They get worse when I sleep, even if I try calm things down before I turn in.

I'ts probably because you're relaxed. Once you get up, you start getting stressed again, so it all comes back. Try some relaxation, there's lots of ways of doing it, if you can relax more, you won't be so stressed and the symptoms will stay away.

Be very thankful my friend! At least you have some relief. Some peoples' only relief from anxiety is that 5 seconds between waking up and remembering about your existance.
