Hi. I am a 42 year old female. I have suffered with depression and panic attacks on and off for the last 5 years. Luckily my main symptoms were eventually brought under control with a 225 mg daily dose of Venlafaxine. I have been on this dose for nearly a year and just reduced over the last month to 150 mg.
However, after some hallucinating I was put back up to 225 to start a new reduction programme, reducing by 37.5 mg a time.
Have now been told I can not take the venlafaxine again as I was given Robitussin dm by my pharmacist and ended up quite I'll in hospital with seratonin syndrome.
Am on day 3 of quitting venlafaxine and have been put on 50 mg of imipramine. Not sure what to expect but feeling very scared of recent events.
