Can Depression lead to death?

Stress can add to health problems - not sure about depression

High stress over a long time can contribute to high blood pressure and ultimately stress on the heart but you would be having significant problems before this anyway. Depression does not contribute to heart problems directly in any way and does not raise your blood pressure.
