I had a blood test a couple of weeks ago, the doctor said that he checked:

Full Blood Count
Thyroid test
Inflammation
Celieac test
Liver function
kidney function

and a few others. He said they were all normal - would that show if there were something wrong? Can blood tests miss something?

It depends what they were looking for to be honest.

But they covered most things so I think you are fine.

Why did you have the tests?

They ordered the tests because I went to see them complaining about:

Extreme, severe bloating
nausea
no appetite
sharp pains in chest (right side)
shoulder pain (right side)
arm pain (right side)
sweating after eating anything
palpitations
anxiety from nowhere (had been gone for a while)

They also did a urine strip test in the office and that was normal as well, but from what I understand those are only really useful in checking for UTIs.

btw, how have you been Nicola? It's been quite a while since I used the forum.

Ok cool so a good check over then with the blood tests

I have a few health problems but I am ok - I am a fighter and will get through it all.

Good to see you back x

I had exactly the same tests a few days ago and everything came back normal - if something was wrong, it would show up. I know it's easy to say but a lot of your symptoms could be anxiety related. I've come to realise that you don't actually have to 'feel' anxious to experience the horrible symptoms of anxiety and stress, if that make sense?
