I had hypnotherapy just recently, the method he used for me was centred around my breathing, at the time my anxiety was through the roof and I was hyperventilating for most of the day, so it was not the right approach to take with me at the time.

Years ago I tried hypnotherapy and the session was based more around relaxation and that really helped me at the time. So, it is worth a go, you may strike lucky and find a hypnotherapist that is able to reduce your anxiety symptoms.

Hi Miss princess.

As long as you go into this with a positive attitude... What's the worst that can happen?

For two years I had a major problem with driving. I couldn't drive on any type of motorway/dual carriageway and had major issues with traffic jams and red lights.

I went for hypnotherapy and was taught a couple of techniques.

Although I at times still get the dread feeling when entering the slip road of a motorway I can now get over it within a few seconds and carry on with my journey.

I've never been to a hypnotherapist but I've downloaded some sessions on my phone and although I struggled to get into them at first, I couldn't be without them now. I listen to them when I go to bed and they are very relaxing and definitely having a positive effect. I have 4 downloaded by the same guy - anxiety, relaxation, success and positivity.

My other half who isn't into things like that admits that he also finds them useful. It really is worth a try.

I had one session quite a while ago, couldn't afford to keep it up but I found that even just the one helped me. I think the success depends on how you go into it, if you've got an open mind and are receptive to it then you'll get more benefit from it. I've also downloaded an app on my phone which seems to be really good. Good luck!

Same, I was quite fond of "Eddini"s channel for while, he did lots of vidoes on anxiety and depression as well as a host of other problems. He's a really nice guy too.
