Im on 30 but seriously wanting my dose upped. Just worried about side affects though. Im 5ft2 and 8 stone. X

No side effects whatsoever upping from 30 to 40 ..... only improvement :D

should not be no problems doing that, I was on 60mg for 6 or 7 years, which those years were wasted being on them, they left me in a state of no feeling towards anything.

I am trying to change my life style

go back to learning
exercise
food
and try to get straight head

just my anxiety is bad

40mg is the largest recommended dose, and Citalopram is a powerful drug. You will need good reasons for your GP to increase your dose. Do not do it off your own back, and there may be better approaches than Citalopram. It is in reality only a plaster over a wound, CBT or talk therapy combined with drug therapy consistently has better results.
